Vatican Museum

The marble statue of Lycoon still captures people.

The Vatican Museum holds all of the masterpieces of art that has been acquired from many ages. See the hallway of tapestries, hallway of maps, beautiful statues, the area where Raphael and his students painted, the Sistine Chapel, mosaic floors, and many more pieces of art and splendor. This museum has so many highlights that it must not be missed.

Large tapestries cover the walls in the Hall of Tapestries within the museum.

Please note that this is a Holy place so dress accordant. Pictures are allowed except in the Sistine Chapel. Large bags are not allowed in either due to the possibility of knocking item over. There is a place to check your bags in after getting through the metal detectors. Because this is a very popular location, it takes a while to enter.

Depending on the season, as you are walking through the museum, it may be like sandwiched like sardines in a can, or there can be much more wiggle room.

Entry into the museum will cost 16 Euro.

This painting by Raphael still fascinates the imagination of people.
