The amazing marble reaches high into the skyline with angles.

The Trevi fountain stonework wasn’t designed by the Romans, in fact, the famous marble design is really new compared to others in the city; it was constructed in 1762. This fountain has stood for centuries, and in 2015 restoration work was completed. After 2.2 Million Euro was spent, this famous fountain stands bright and ready for people to continue to toss coins into the fountain. Though this is a very common theme to send coins into the fountain, the tradition of when it began is unknown. It must work however, I have thrown coins in and have gone back!

The fountain is available year around, day and night. It is free except any coins that you toss in.
